The latest member of Atmel’s 8/16bit MCU family based on its proprietary AVR core adds full speed USB connectivity, while remaining pin-compatible with other XMEGA devices. The CMX8341 is targeted directly at low cost, licence free digital PMR (dPMR) radios conforming to the ETSI standard, TS102 490. IQD have unveiled their new IQOV-90 series high stability low phase noise OCXO. Designed and manufactured in Germany at their IQD FOQ GmbH facility, the new OCXO offers a range of outputs and supply voltages across a frequency range of 10 to 40MHz. Improvements in the oscillator circuit design have reduced the typical phase noise to -98dBc/Hz @ 1Hz and -152dBc/Hz@1kHz with a noise floor of less than -157dBc/Hz. Using a high performance SC-Cut crystal, ageing behaviour of less than ±50ppb per year and short term stability of <5x10-11@1s can be achieved based on a 10MHz, 12V, sinewave output device.
