Si5315 Synchronous Ethernet Jitter Attenuating Clock Multiplier IC
 
 

The Si5315 is the newest member of Silicon Laboratories’ Any-Rate Precision Clock family that specifically addresses 1 and 10 Gigabit Synchronous Ethernet (SyncE) requirements in Carrier Ethernet applications. The Si5315 is a simple, feature-rich line card jitter attenuating clock multiplier IC providing synchronization and generation of over 200 popular SyncE frequencies as well as popular T1/E1 rates. Like other Silicon Labs precision clocks, the Si5315 supports jitter attenuation while providing industry-leading jitter performance of 0.6 ps rms. The Si5315 accepts two clock inputs ranging from 8 kHz to 644.53 MHz and generates two equal frequency multiplied clock outputs ranging from 8 kHz to 644.53 MHz. The Si5315 is pin controlled and supports critical SyncE features like hitless switching between input clocks and holdover.Datasheet: Si5315

Industry's First Any-Rate, Any-Output Clock Generator

Silabs introduced a new family of clock generators and buffers that provide the most frequency flexibility in the industry. Based on Silicon Labs’ breakthrough MultiSynth technology, the Si5338 is capable of synthesizing any frequency from 0.16 to 350 MHz and select frequencies to 700 MHz on each of the device’s four differential outputs, dramatically simplifying timing architectures by replacing four discrete phase-locked loop (PLL) devices with a single IC. Consistent with Silicon Labs’ timing strategy of providing the most frequency flexible clock and oscillator solutions in the industry, the Si5338 provides best-in-class performance and integration while shortening design cycles for applications such as next generation communications equipment, wireless base stations, broadcast video, test and measurement and data acquisition. Low-Power MEMS oscillator debuts

These devices are highly programmable – with frequencies, voltages and tolerances that can be configured easily – enabling shipment of customized samples in 24 hours and production quantities in two weeks. The SiT8002XT measures 3.5 mm by 3.0 mm, with a typical height of 0.25mm and is packaged in a four-pad XLLGA package. Along with SiTime’s other industry-leading MEMS-based timing devices, the SiT8002XT offers breakthrough reliability and ruggedness. The SiT8002XT offers 10 times better reliability and shock resistance than quartz oscillators, ensuring more robust, longer-life electronics.
