SynQor announced the launch of two new families of Non-Isolated, Surface Mount, Point of Load converters within its NiQor family, which have the benefit of ultra wide input and output configurations to address the growing demands of today's Intermediate Bus Architecture (IBA) applications.The NQ16W50SMA16 has an input voltage range of 6-16V, making it capable of being used in conjunction with 4:1, 5:1 and even 6:1 Bus Converter strategies, and an output voltage range of 0.75V to 5.5V which is programmable by a single external resistor. Similarly the NQ04W33SMA16 operates over an input voltage range of 2.4-6V and has an output voltage trim range of 0.75-3.6V. The efficiencies of the devices are as high as 94%, leading to minimal derating requirements across the entire output voltage range.Both devices are packaged in the DOSA compatible 1.3" x 0.53" footprint and DOSA standard SMT pinout.New is the sequencing/tracking feature which greatly simplifies the implementation of various different output voltage timing requirements when using multiple point of load devices in a particular application with multiple voltage chipsets.Control and protection features include optional remote sense, input under-voltage lockout, output OVP, output current limiting, short circuit protection, and thermal shutdown. Operating temperature range is -40 to +105degC.

SynQor announces a new range of isolated Quarter Brick DC/DC converters to address industrial, medical and telecom applications running from a 12V and/or 24V bus (operating range is 9-36V). Single output voltages offered range from 1.8V to 48V (with nine different models available), and are capable of supplying up to 40A or 100W of usable power.Housed in the industry standard 2.30" x 1.45" Quarter Brick footprint and pinout, the IQ18xxxQTAxx family of devices are available as open frame units for convection-cooled applications; with baseplates for conduction-cooled applications; and for the first time, fully encapsulated for harsh environment applications.

Industry's Smallest Power Input Module Design for ATCA applications Logo
 
 

Synqor announced the release of its iQor Power Interface Module for applications complying with the Advanced Telecom Computing Architecture (ATCA) specifications, offering the smallest available overall power solution for Carrier Card designs. The Interface Module, when coupled with a Payload DC/DC Converter such as SynQor's PQ60120QEA25, results in the most comprehensive solution for ATCA board designs, with only fuses and hold-up capacitors needed to be added externally to support the ATCA specifications. The IQ65033QMA10 series is rated at up to 10A of output current, and has an input voltage range of -36V to -75V.

DC/DC converter ideal for wireless telecom offers 24V output Eight-brick Logo
 
 

The PQ60240EGL03 delivers a tightly regulated 24V output at up to 3A in the DOSA standard 0.9" x 2.3" footprint and pinout.Operating over the input voltage range of 35-75V, the open frame device offers an efficiency of up to 90%. Due to the optimized topology and layout of the device, derating is minimal, even with low levels of forced air cooling. At less than 0.35" (8.9mm) high, the unit is particularly suitable for wireless telecom applications utilizing very small board pitches, wireless data transmission equipment, fan trays, and any application where a 24V rail needs to be generated in a 48V environment.The PQ60240EGL03 is capable of withstanding transients on the input to 100V for 100ms, and has a basic isolation level from input to output of 2000Vdc. Control and protection features include remote sense, a wide output voltage trim range of -20% to +10%, input under-voltage lockout, output OVP, current limit, short circuit protection, and thermal shutdown. Operating temperature range is -40 to +100°C.
