At electronica, ept has presented its new MicroTCA power input connectors. With this group, ept is extending its current product range in the area of power connectors for MicroTCA. The new product group comprises the models 7W2 and 9W4. These connectors were designed for use in 48V/60V and 24V systems. The current-carrying capacity is 24A/pin for the 7W2 and 40A/pin for the 9W4. The connectors are available as single-port or dual-port models.
They are supplemented with connectors 5W5 and 15W5, which are intended for power supplies in industrial applications, so-called "Rugged MictroTCA “. These two connectors have been designed for 12V of supply voltage and a maximum current-carrying capacity of 40A. The MicroTCA power input product group is offered with soldering technology and the models on offer can all be assembled in accordance with customers' specific requirements. EPT TCA connectors

The WB4 series comprises right-angle connectors enabling horizontal mating of adjacent boards. The 0.5mm conductor pitch ensures a low footprint, to enable multi-channel interconnects within minimal board real-estate. The connectors are designed to close tolerances throughout, which results in precision matching between differential signal pairs as well as high signal integrity. Pulse expands its line of connectors and cages with a 2x8, small-form-factor-pluggable (SFP) cage for use in high-end Ethernet networking equipment such as blade servers, switches, routers, and add/drop multiplexers.
Pulse’s new 2x8 cage measures 25.5mm high x 63.25mm deep x 114.25mm wide. The footprint is compliant with the SFP Transceiver MultiSource Agreement (MSA) standard and is RoHS compliant. It handles speeds up to 5 gigabits and improves connectivity in high-density printed circuit board (PCB) environments. The cage reduces the operating temperature of the transceiver, protects the transceiver from EMI emissions, provides mechanical stability and offers easy transceiver plug-in. Holes in the cage allow air circulation and heat transfer. The cages can withstand temperatures of minus 40 to plus 85 degrees Celsius. Datasheet: SFP032-L

13.84mm is the dimension from the front shell to the first pin row of the new series 104. With the long style footprint the company completes the standard D-Sub-portfolio of EU and US footprints. The long style series offers right-angled D-Subs in male and female configuration with 9 to 37 contacts. The contacts consist of copper alloy, and they are designed for a current rating of 5A. The insulator body consists of UL94 V-0 rated high temperature thermoplastic. The insulation resistance measures a minimum of 1000 MOhms with a test voltage of 500VDC, the contact resistance is a maximum of 30 MOhms. The solderability is guaranteed according to IEC 512-12A. Small Robust Micro-USB Connector for mobile applications
The development of smaller and smaller mobile devices eg. cell phones, PDAs, digicams is complemented by the Micro-USB connector series 8270 of W+P. Compared to the conventional Mini-USB connectors, the new Mirco-USB connectors help to reduce the required space by up to 50 percent.
Ultra small and smart digital interface for multimedia video and audio data transmission
The slim high-performance connector supports an excellent audio quality by raised data rates in combination with high video display resolutions. Slim Board to Board connectors
Stacking of PCB boards in limited space is easier to achieve with the space saving W+P female header series 6061 with a profile of 2.2mm. In combination with the pin header series 712 and 7072 they realize PCB-distances of only 1.7mm.

With a mounting height of only 2.2 mm the flat female header series 6061 offers new possibilities for compact stacking of printed circuit boards. In combination with the pin header series 712 and 7072 they realize PCB-distances of only 1.7 mm. The pin headers support the space saving board-to-board-connection with an insulation height of 1.0 mm. Additional advantage of the new female header: as a dual entry connector it opens 2 possibilities for stacking of PCBs: face to face or directly on top of each other. The female header series 6061 is available as SMT-version with a pick- & place-pad for automatical loading. With a 1,27x1,27 mm pitch it can be or-dered from 10-100 contacts. The contact material of the pin and female headers consists of CuZn 30, the material of the insulator consists of a high temperature thermoplastic, rated UL94V0. The solderability is guaranteed according to IEC 512-12A. A safe function is assured in a temperature range from –40°C to +105°C.
